Din(daily) Dasha is very simple and follows sequence of Vinshottary dasha. It works well in conjunction with birth vinshottary dasha when there is resonance between them.
Calculation:
Add Tithi,weekday,Nakshatr ruling at the required time of day.
To this add number of letters in name(Use rules similar to Mantras).
Divide by 9 and note the remainder. If 0 then take 9.Starting from 1,
Dasha is of Ravi,Chandr,Kuj,Rahu,Guru,Shani,Budh,Ketu,Shukr respectively.
This dasha will change when weekday or Tithi or Nakshatr will change.
On any day normally 3 dashas will run for all natives. while Tithi,
weekday and Nakshatr are same for all world,number of letters in name are
different for different persons.So this dasha is not very effective for
individual predictions on its own but when it combines with other dashas
in native's chart,it gives remarkable results.For mundane events/charts
where a lot of people have similar experiences,it can be effectively used.
Example:
Date 19-8-2005(Raksha-Bandhan)
Here Weekday is Friday(6),
Tithi is Poornima(15),
Nakshatr is Shravan(22)
Name is Anil(3 letters).
Adding all we get 46.
Dividing by 9 gives remainder 1.
So Din dasha is of Ravi.
Now at 8:22,Nakshatr changes to Dhanishtha.
So Dasha will change to Chandr.
In night,Pritipada starts at 23:25.
So dasha again changes to Mangal.
Native will be running Rahu-Ravi-Guru Vinshottary as per birth chart.
So Ravi din-dasha will be more important then chandr and Mangal.
If Ravi is placed in good/bad houses,it will give good/bad results.
In this chart, it will be in 9th from moon(dhanu) on that day.
Sun is not good in 9th from moon.It is in own sign.
So it is normal period from sunrise to 8:22.
Similarly we can analyse Chandr/Mangal dashas also.
This remainder when applied to Dasha Pravesh/Rashi Pravesh charts,
We get knowledge of Dasha/transit results as given below.
They are known as Dasha vahan/Shani vahan also.
If 2,3,6,8,9 are left,it is good.If 1,4,5,7 are left,it is bad.
You can also check transit of dasha planet joining benefic/
malefic in transit or birth-chart to find out good/bad period.
Verify it on natal and mundane events yourself!
